Trusted advice from the inside,
helping causes, organisations and campaigns
get heard by decision-makers.

When you work with CampaignsCo, you work directly with me, Mike Amesbury.
I bring experience as a former MP, Shadow Minister, local government leader, housing board member, campaigner and adviser.
I have worked with ministers, MPs, Metro Mayors, council leaders, civil servants, journalists, charities, housing organisations and community groups.
I understand how decisions are made, how relationships are built and how to move an issue from concern to action.

CampaignsCo is not about spin or access for its own sake. It is about honest advice, clear strategy and work that has a purpose.
I combine political and policy experience with lived experience of the criminal justice system, which has strengthened my belief in accountability, rehabilitation, second chances and the realities facing people and communities under pressure.
I only take on work I believe in, with people and organisations serious about making change happen.

I help charities, housing organisations, social enterprises, businesses and civic leaders influence decision-makers and shape public debate.
From stakeholder engagement and campaign strategy to media work, op-eds, briefings and crisis communications, I help you find the right message, reach the right people and build support where it matters.
My strongest areas include housing, homelessness, building safety, mental health, justice, rehabilitation and working-class communities.
I am available for speaking engagements, school talks, youth organisation sessions, charity events, workshops, panel discussions and media appearances.
My speaking offer is built around lived experience, responsibility and change.
I speak openly about my experience of the criminal justice system, the consequences of my actions, taking responsibility, rebuilding trust and the importance of rehabilitation and second chances.
This is not a theoretical subject for me. It is personal.
I have seen public life from the inside as a former MP and Shadow Minister. I have also experienced what it means to lose status, face consequences and rebuild. That combination gives me a perspective that is honest, grounded and different.
My aim is not to lecture people. It is to start real conversations about choices, accountability, resilience, stigma, opportunity and how people can move forward after mistakes.
I am particularly interested in speaking to secondary schools, colleges, youth organisations, charities, alternative provision settings and organisations working with people affected by homelessness, poor mental health, poverty, exclusion or the criminal justice system.
A frank and honest talk about decision-making, accountability and how one moment can change the direction of a life.
I talk about taking responsibility, facing consequences and rebuilding with honesty and purpose.
Suitable for secondary schools, colleges, youth organisations, alternative provision settings and charities.
A personal and practical session on what helps people rebuild after contact with the criminal justice system.
I explore responsibility, stigma, employment, housing, mental health, family, community support and why second chances matter.
Suitable for charities, public services, criminal justice organisations, housing providers and community groups.
A grounded session exploring aspiration, identity, masculinity, pressure, anger, opportunity, employment and belonging.
I draw on my background, my professional experience and my personal journey to open up honest discussion about the challenges facing many working-class boys and men today.
Drawing on my earlier work as a Careers Adviser and Connexions Manager, this session focuses on confidence, decision-making, employability, aspiration and helping young people see a positive future for themselves.
Drawing on my work in Parliament, local government and housing, I speak about homelessness, inequality, secure housing and why policy must be shaped by people with lived experience.

Whether you're preparing a major campaign, need rapid advice, or want to book me as a speaker, I am here to help.
